A shiv is a prisoner's secret knife and used for ruthless
killing and literal back stabbing. This describes Cindy Burman
to a tee. She is the daughter of a very well to do
super-villain and has studied in several of the very best
schools abroad, acquiring an awesome amount of knowledge and
skills before she came to Blue Valley High. When she arrived
at Blue Valley. she did it with style, quickly becoming head
cheerleader, homecoming queen, debate team captain and even
vice-president of her class! Cindy takes pride in the fact
that she's never had to work hard at anything, in fact,
everything seems to come to her with unbelievable ease.
This snooty, arogant girl is a favorite among both faculty
and the student body at Blue Valley High, however whether
this is due to fear or true respect remains to be seen.
When the class president mysteriously disappeared, Cindy
became the president and took on the leadership of the
student council. Although it can be assumed that she had a
role in these events, how much so remains a mystery. As
she gains more power in this little political world, the
more her father is pleased.
Cindy's father is a dangerous man as anyone who crosses
Cindy soon learns. Cindy strives to be the most powerful
girl she can be and as Shiv, the best super-villain as
well. Pleasing her father is a a very important thing to
Cindy, and nothing will stand in the way of that goal.
Cindy has a severe problem with classmate Courtney
Whitmore, who is secretly the Star Spangled Kid II. With
Cindy secretly being the super-villainess Shiv, this high
school rivalry well take on a horrific new level. This clash
is sure to inviolve both Shiv's father and the new Star
Spangled Kid's step-father, former mystery man Stripesy, Pat
Dugan.
When Cindy suits up as Shiv, she uses the head of a 'morning
glory' mace to contain her long hair. She is able to swing
this around as a very deadly weapon with a large degree of
accuracy. Shiv also has a multitude of hidden blades and
other weapons all throughout her deadly costume. She is
quite proficient with her 'Golden Dragon' staff which is
able to spew fire as well as turn into a robotic anaconda,
which has been known to crush victims to death using its
tremendous squeezing pressure.
